In Utah for a couple weeks
« on: March 27, 2009, 05:52:19 AM »
I'm in the Salt Lake area as of today and will be here until April 9th. Are there any interesting things happening during this time? (Besides Conference.)
All Saiyuki fans should check out Dazzle! Emotionally wrenching action-adventure and quirky humor! (At least read chapter 6 and tell me if you're not hooked.) Volume 10 out now!

We'll be having dinner or lunch together at some TBD time and place.  Right...?

I'm speaking on Wed. night at the Salt Lake Library to the SCBWI about the state of children's/YA fantasy/SF.

Also, I forgot to mention that my sister and her family are staying with me Mon-Wed, so lunch w/ me and Oldielocks will probably be Thurs. or Fri.

Skar I called you and left messages twice but you never called back... Anyway I will be back sometime at the end of the month since we're moving there seeing as I'm going to be working for Brandon now.

Sorry Ookla.  I didn't get the messages until Saturday night while I was at drill.  My wife usually has the phone and she's a bit of a technophobe.  If it rings she can answer it, and sometimes make outgoing calls.  But that's about it.

Congratulations on the new job.  See you around. Sorry again.

I was already in Provo when I began being Ookla, so I don't see how there will be any issues. :)

My wife usually has the phone and she's a bit of a technophobe.

I just gotta ask, why do you let the technophobe carry the cell phone?  I mean, my husband lets me carry ours because he hates phones as a general category, but I actually know how to use it.

I sit at a desk all day.  My phone sits there with me.  My wife is out and about.

Also, I was exercising a touch of hyperbole, overstatement of her technophobia if you will.

Ah, I see.  That makes sense.

And it also gives you an excellent excuse for not returning people's calls - "Really, dude, I wasn't avoiding you, it's just that my wife doesn't know how to check voicemail."   ;)

Sorry, I'm not very kind online sometimes.  I just get this irresistable temptation to say mean stuff.  I don't really mean it.

You'll thaw eventually.
