I have dreams of putting together a streamlined RP system specifically for forum play (play-by-post). If there's interest in such a thing, I may actually invest time into it..
Oh, and this is my first post in 3 years. My second in 5.

I once used to have a really good forum rp system set up for a . *cough*digimon*cough* site that a friend and I ran for a long time. I don't remember the URL though, and last time I saw it it was over run with porn bots.
We should get something together though.
