Hugo Nominations
« on: February 09, 2009, 10:13:07 PM »
Anyone going to Worldcon in Montreal, or who went to Worldcon in Denver, can nominate for this year's Hugo awards.

Brandon mentioned that Hero of Ages is eligible in the novel category, and Firstborn and Defending Elysium are both eligible in the novelette category. Eric James Stone mentioned his eligible stories here.

This year there's a category for Graphic Story. I'm nominating "The Ephemeral Proposition" by Minari Endoh from Dazzle volumes 5 through 7 (volume 7 was published in January 2008). Yes, I was the editor, but I love, love, love this manga to death and this story has been the series' high point of humor and heartbreak. I wish more people had taken the opportunity to read it.

What titles do other people think deserve to be nominated this year?
All Saiyuki fans should check out Dazzle! Emotionally wrenching action-adventure and quirky humor! (At least read chapter 6 and tell me if you're not hooked.) Volume 10 out now!

Fistborn? that sounds like an erotic thriller to me. Then a sequel as Defending Elysium... Makes it even more hillarious.

Oh! it says FirsTborn... hmhm, thats Dyslexia for you.

For Graphic Story, Id nominate Elantris-Audiobook! Kolo?
