I'm happy that my years worth of contacts came in today. Contacts are so much better than glasses.

I have a equal but opposite astigmatism in my eyes, left is 1/4 whatever unit farsighted and the right is 1/4 whatever near sighted... so the dominance switches between the two depending on if it is closer or farther than about 20 feet away. But even with my fading vision I still don't need glasses... and if i go walking for 20 minutes a day the astigmatism shouldn't get any worst for a long time!!!!! Yeah for modern medicine!!!

So. I reworked my next two years of schooling, and you know what I realized?

I never have to take labs ever again!

I am ridiculously happy. I despise labs. Though, I suppose I'll need to do that stuff for my undergraduate research. Still, that's not much. The rest of my schedule is easy, easycakes!*

*This is coming from the person who will take classes like Elementary Particle Physics, Astrophysics, Advanced Calculus, and Complex Analysis. I may not be the correct gauge of "easiness". Oh, and I'm also with 15 graduate level credits, too. I might not be sane enough to measure what is "easy".

I finished doing our taxes on Saturday. We get refunds from the IRS and from all 3 states (though one of the refunds is like $13).
All Saiyuki fans should check out Dazzle! Emotionally wrenching action-adventure and quirky humor! (At least read chapter 6 and tell me if you're not hooked.) Volume 10 out now!

Finished my novel. Took me a year, but I did it.

Now for revisions...

I just found out my school accepted my deferment, which means I won't be going back to school next month. Not that I was going to if it was declined, but at least this way I don't have to re-apply for the whole school.

I had a baby! Baby Nathan was born on March 30 at 8 lbs 9 oz. I have not posted much and that trend will continue, but I have to brag.

So my birthday is in two days. And my aunt invited me to come with her to watch Wicked in San Francisco. I'm really excited! I love the music, and from what I've heard, the musical is fantastic. Plus, San Fran is where it originated. So this will be the second musical I've seen in the originating city (the first being Phantom of the Opera).

You saw Phantom in London?

We got most of our furniture moved into our new house today. The guys from our old ward were very helpful. We had everything on the trucks in an hour and stuff unloaded in less time than that. (Had to disassemble the couch to get it in the door, and remove a hand railing to get the washer & dryer down the stairs, but we had multiple handy people.)

Gotta love the way ward members pitch in when someone's moving. Makes the whole process go so much faster.

You saw Phantom in London?

Yes. Last year. It was amazing.

Wicked was phenomenal. I adored it. A lot. We were on the front row, just right of the middle aisle, so extremely close. Close enough to see the spit fly out of the actors' mouths when they got a little too excited in their talking. Or singing....Also, before it, we ate at this really cool place called Frjtz that has Belgian fries. And they were the best fries I've ever had in my life. The sweet crepe I got was pretty delicious too. That place has made it onto the must-go-to list for every time in the future I'm in San Fran.
