Huh. In it for the social aspect, not the scouting?

I was in it for neither. I quit before I ever hit Tenderfoot. Something about BSA always seemed slightly deranged to me.

Had super-delicious chimichangas for dinner.  Yummy!

Chimichangas?  They either come from Arizona or Sonora, and while they may be popular in Tex-Mex, they're also very popular in parts of Mexico, and this and their probably origin, I think, places them outside of the realm of what can be called "serious Tex-Mex".

I've always been told they weren't traditional mexican food, and considering i was told that by mexicans i believe it...and Tex Mex isn't neccesarily Texan is American Mexican Food...just like we have American Chinese Food and Traditional Chinese Food :P

Does it matter? I'd think that just about any '69 Camaro is pretty much awesome just on principle.

Well, there are some that think it's a traditional Sonoran dish, Kaz.  If this is true, then it is authentic Mexican, but regional, meaning someone who's not from, say, Sonora, wouldn't necessarily recognize the dish as Mexican.

Sherwood Forest was fun. The play was even more fun. I saw 2 of them....And then I went to Wales. And learned a bit of Welsh. Welsh is a really cool language....I think I'm going to Jane Austen's house today, but I'm not sure....I know I'm going to Stonehenge tomorrow, though, and that should be a blast.

American adaptations are only Tex Mex if they originate in Texas.  We (California) have our very own take thank you very much and it's not Tex Mex.

As for chimis, I think it's "burritos" that you're thinking of.  Any sort of wrap is traditionally a taco, even if it's folder in the Cali style.  A Burrito was traditionally a deepfried pastry like a stuffed hoe cake.  But 160years later it doesn't matter much.

Just pass the chili colorado with mole, and I'll mop it up with my folded tortilla harina and you can call it what ever you like.
:D

Wilson:  Welsh is indeed a cool language.  "Iaith y nefoedd", as we say.

I am happy because my wife had our 4th child 5 days ago and everyone is doing great.
Her name is Mae Iris and is so cute.
