10大ニュース (juu dai nyuusu), is literally a list of 10 big(大) bits of news(ニュース) or events that have happened to you over the past year.

In Japan, the end of the year is filled with parties and drinking, much more so than the beginning of a new one. As the next year fast approaches, people will hold a 忘年会 (bou-nen-kai), or a gathering to forget the current year. This is accomplished through copious amounts of alcohol, and often times, the telling of one’s 10-dai news. It’s like a personal Top-10 list.

This list can contain any 10 events that you feel have affected you deeply, most often in a positive way. As we all close another year here on Earth, I felt it would be fun to combine a little bit of Japanese culture with the community’s penchant for touting your accomplishments. Everyone likes sharing their success, so here’s a perfect chance!

Hehe, I did this when I was over there, was very fun. 

Hmm...I don't think I've accomplished anything major this year, not enough to fill a top ten list anyway.  I lead a pretty boring obscure life.

Hmmm. I know I don't have ten. I think I'd be hard-pressed to get five. And most of mine aren't really all that big, but I think they're pretty cool. In no particular order:

-I went to my first rock concert on October 17th.
-I stood five feet away from Elder Nelson (an apostle for the LDS church) when he came to a meeting at BYU-I earlier this past fall semester. Closest I've ever been to any even remotely famous/well-known figure.
-I went to meetings planning for the British Literary Tour next year in May that I'm going on (so maybe this should wait til next year since that's when I'm actually going to England, Ireland, Wales, and France...although I am supremely hyped up about it right now).
-I came up with a brilliant idea for a book in June and started writing it.

...And I think that's it. No big events. Although I did turn 21....not that that really means a whole lot.

10. Getting my assjammer(not its real name but one ppl made up. its like aegisjlamhar. it a blue helm), and hrotti (A blue sword)
9. Getting Thief(its a job class) to 60
8. Getting my Swift Belt
7. Getting my Rap Harness for THF
6. Getting Ninja(another job class) to 66
5. Getting my Valor Breeches(Shiny pants for my Paladin)
4. Completing my Enkidu's set(Redish Armor for my Thief)
3. Getting my Shadow Mantle(A cape drop for a boss called Dynamis Lord)
2. Getting Thief AF2 hands(Purple Gloves that makes thing drop!)
1. Thief 75(which is level cap in game)

I want to participate!

-Changed my pschiatrist.
-Met some friends I only knew by internet. We had a good time.
-Found a best friend.
-My faith grew on me.
-We could go celebrate my cousin's first Holy Communion to her grandfather's house. That grandfather is having problems with alcohol and so, and it' difficult to see him.
-My cousin Marta found a boyfriend and they will marry next year.
-My great-aunt died (negative, of course)
-My suicide attempts went significatiblly down.
-I started to realise that studying might be worth it.

Okay, there are only nine, I know... sorry if they're so boring.

I learned that you can screw up rice. I also learned that two people at my school are convinced that I was born a twin but right after birth we melded together and since I was dominant I became the ruling thought but there really is another conscious hiding inside of me and it is biding its time to rise up and seize control of my body.
