Congratulations! But, I think this topic would be better posted if it was in the Writing Group forum. Or, sans that, brag about your awesomeness in the current NaNoWriMo topic:

Seriously, though, good job. You put me to shame.

Awwww. But I'm a writing excuses fan too. :) Point taken though. I'll go brag there too. Maybe I can get people to hate me on my first day.

Well, actually, Reading Excuses is a writing group thing for Writing Excuses fans. Here is the place you would submit your writing to other writers and get critiqued.

Hmmm, I see where you are coming from, though. From the main page to the new member, it isn't exactly clear just what Reading Excuses is. I think I'll make a topic explaining that in better detail to make it clearer.

And utoxin, you can always get on the email list so you can join in our writing group. We accept all willing writers!

I'll consider it... but I'm not very disciplined, and if I don't have an active deadline like Nano, I tend to not write anything. :)

Chaos, you could do a "What is Reading Excuses? (Read first)" thread... That could be our test for joining, just make them reach the end of it. ^^
My friends held an intervention, to stop my ridiculous plans to take over the world (Jake ended up in the hospital). I convinced them to let me take over other worlds though.

Utoxin - fear not! Here at Reading Excuses you can choose from not one, but two deadlines! Rest assured that your motivation will not filter away unnoticed, for if you miss your submisison date, we shall laugh at you!

Nice Welcome post, Chaos.

Also, Utoxin, congrats. I'm still WAY behind at 6000.

I'll consider it. Let me recover some of my sanity from MLing /and/ writing for Nano first. :)

So… should I move this?  Anyone care?

Go ahead. Fell made Raethe and I moderators of Reading Excuses, but either the moderation options are really hidden, or we just don't have any yet. So, yeah, move the topic, because we can't right now :P

I think I know the issue - suspected it before. You and Raethe are merely 'Staff' as far as privileges go, even though you're listed as mod on the board; until the thing under your name reads 'Moderator', like Jade, you probably won't be able to find your options.
