totally off... no, i think it is kind of like WoW, i think, but you cant really have mounts. it's just a basic mmorpg, really.

I favor WoW, mostly because I simply love the warcraft setting. Honestly, I've never felt that the gameplay was that great (well, in any mmo, really), but I just like warcraft. Even then, I've never been very consistent in playing it. I started a week after it was released, played it a lot for the next three months, and then kinda stopped. Every couple months I'd pick it back up and play really hard for a few days,  and then stop again. Early '06 I stopped completely, and didn't touch it 'til wrath came out. I'm still playing, but not a ton. I just can't devote all of my time to just one game. I need to play all games, and mmo's don't leave much room for that

Not really a MMO strictly speaking... but Savage 1 is more a rts/fps/mmo.... all in one! Game features one commander per team, using a rts style building and command console, while rest of team has fps view(up to 32 players per team) all fighting together against the other team.Try it,you will like it! and its completely free!http://www.newerth.com/sm/980264]

Sorry to necro this thread but I couldn't help but notice that FFXI wasn't up there...

Sure it is a HUGE time sink but I loved it... Until elitists ruined it for me.  :'(

I was a Guide in EQ1, have a few lvl 80's on WoW, beta tested LotRO, and Warhammer Online...  I think they were all fun and they each had their own good points.  All in all, as long as they had people I enjoyed playing with, I enjoyed them.  They all have the same major problem though:  In order to make people happy (and get them to keep paying) you need to make a endgame system that forces people to play.  I used to do the 'second-job' raid schedule to get the best gear... and now, that's what pushes me away.  Now, I play to get to the level, just to see what's new, and then I quit.  Now, I refuse to raid/grind.

Yeah, I'm pretty sick of the grinding in MMO's.

Now I tend to play an MMO until the newness of it wears off or I explore all of the areas of interest. I tend to stike off into places I should go at my level because I bore of the grind.

Mythos would have been my vote. Imagine the gameplay of Diablo with things like crafting, pvp, duels, and an overworld sorta like WoW. It was an amazing game, but is currently in limbo with the ownership now in the hands of some korean company. Alas, it may never return to its great glory again, but I'll keep playing Torchlight and waiting for their MMO to come in a year or two. That will be awesome! :D
I like basketball, hanging out with my friends, reading, slamming a garbage can into a pimp or two with magical heavenly powers. You know, teenager stuff.
