I think he should get (and sell) custom-designed bacon-themed signed bookplates.

Or just sign some of those band-aids that look like bacon, for people to stick in their books.

Bacon strip bookmarks?  :)

Bacon strip bookmarks? :)

Yes!  And the side benefit would be, if the bookmark happened to fall out, you could still find your place by the grease stains.

I used a half-eaten candy bar as a bookmark once.  The chocolatey aroma made it a wonderful reading experience, even after the candy was gone.  A few smears are a small price to pay for such an emotionally satisfying experience. ;)

So long as it's not a library book (or a friend's!)

I read a very interesting article in the Time magazine talking about bacon in deserts. What is this madness, you say? So I thought until I saw the picture. Description went something like this: "Brioche with a bang. Banana and ice cream with bacon crumbles." It looked like some kind of creamy bread with a slice of bacon on top, with vanilla ice cream on the side covered in tiny bits of bacon. And man, it looked good.

Sounds good to me.  Just another twist on the idea of blending salty and sweet.  I already love chocolate-covered pretzels and slightly-sweet, slightly-salty kettle corn, not to mention classics like the old PB&J, so why not ice cream and bacon?

Oh, please, don't go there! I work at a library, and you do NOT want to know the kind of things people do to books (shiver). I'm still trying to find out how it is they can stuff a book through the drop slot twice its original size from water damage and think we won't notice.

Stephen Colbert had baconaise (mayo and bacon recipe) on his show and he nearly tossed his cookies....he said the makers could support him by not sending him more

WOW that is AWESOME!!! I mean I'm not a very big bacon fan but still…just the thought of it is amazing! I wonder if a lot of companies will start experimenting with the concept now.…
