360 tv plug in

I wasn't sure where to post this let me know if this is the wrong forum. Anyway last week I FINALLY got a HD tv ;D. But when I plugged my xbox 360's HD av cords I got no sound. The blue, green, and red ones(just trying to be clear).I did hit the switch on the back to hd from standard. I was just wondering if anyoone knows why this is happening and what I should do to fix it.

p.s. I got the xbox 360 version without the HDMI plug in.

It sounds like I have the same setup and I hate to say it but it was plug and play for me. I mean I used the same cords to jump from non-HD to HD all the time when I go to my buddies place. Is it a new Tv?

Yeah it was but I decided to just take it back to the store since abosolutely nothing was working with it.
