Holiday Names
« on: October 22, 2008, 03:07:06 AM »
For those of you new to the forums, us regular forum-goers like to mix things up and bit and try to be clever with our nicknames around the holidays.

http://www.timewastersguide.com/forum/index.php?topic=11.0 (last post info).

Spriggan usually has a Christmas name contest every year, where people vote and the winner gets an award.

And while I know it's too late really to have a Halloween contest, I came up with a good one this year, I think! (Christmas always stumps me... dunno why)

You know Ness I didn't even realize that you could alter you handle. That is very cool. I may try to come up with a witty name for halloween even though it is so close, it should be fun ;D

Hey, this is cool!
I don't suffer from insanity...  I enjoy every minuet of it!

It's ok to be strange, as long as it's on paper. :)

You know I can't see why we couldn't include Halloween, thanksgiving in the Holiday award.  I'll have to figure out how we want to keep track of the older names as we get closer to to December or we can just have a Halloween one in addition to the Christmas Hanuka Kwanzaa time.

I'm fine with either.
Screw it, I'm buying crayons and paper. I can imagineer my own adventures! Wheeee!

That's 'Christmanuzaa'. ;)

I really like the idea of the name contest...I think I have a tough one to work with though....

I'm thinking one award for a name you're currently using, it's too much trouble to remember past names. Just one at Christmas would be fine, I'm thinking.

I think this new name of mine is much better than "Lord Chaos" for the Halloween spirit.

ah, but the way I understand it is to make it so people can still recognize you. Without the profile pic I would've had no idea it was you; you know everyone ignores the numbers  :P

That just means I have the ability for more subterfuge, something others don't get :P

Though, Nessa's name of WickedNess is quite frankly the most awesome holiday name change possible. Someone should make her a trophy. It's THAT good.

Brownie Points for you!

Of course, you can't really use those points for anything, and they are just in my head but still.

Unfortunately, my name doesn't lend itself to truly exquisite adaptation terribly well.  Or maybe I'm just not creative.

Well, you could try to make another field like Fell Points, only Brownie Points.

That name is far superior to "Lord Chaos". At least yours is Halloween-y.

Yeah, your original name is Jade Knight. You did well with this Halloween one, but Christmas... that will be a challenge.

"Really? So whats this burning sensation i'm having in my stomach?"
"Too much ale."
"Not love?"
"No. But i can see how you confused the two."
"I don't feel good."
"They do that to you."
