I haven't done this for a few years and I'm tempted to this year. I even have a project I'm working on! So. Count me in! (for now)

You know, I may give this a shot. I am notorious for taking FOREVER to finish something. Just ask my writing group. Besides, I need to hone my "outlining" skills. Maybe I'll give this a shot....

I'm thinking I will do it this year. I've been slacking on my novel for far too long, so this gives me a good excuse to make a lot of progress.

Got any ideas?  is your story drama?  fantasy? action? humor? A dramatically humorous action-fantasy?

I gots me an epic fantasy planned.  I have the four main POV characters planned out, along with the major plot points with their stories, as well as the magic system all done.  The important worldbuilding is done, but I need to put more potential twists in it, along with finalize names.  oh well.

I like my world.  all of the mountains and stuff are actually the skeletons of gigantic extinct animals called Colossi, who figure a lot in the religion of the area.  The imperial city-state capital, in all of it's size, can't completely fill a Colossus' ribcage, even with its suburbs and shantytowns.  The colossi also figure into the magic, but only in a minor role.

I like my magic too. To my knowledge, it's not very close to any magic system I've read.  Although there's one that has similar principles to it.

I'm working on an Arthurian legend piece.  Placed after the death of King Arthur in the world of the dead.  Following Arthur on his way to The Hall of Heroes or something.  What would his journey be like?
I have most of it plotted out and some dialogue but haven't actually started writing it yet.  Which seems to work out with this site.  Good luck. ;D

“You forgive me, my People may forgive me, God ‘Himself’ could forgive me, but I will Not!” Arthur shouted, throwing the sword into the lake.  His eyes black, dead; he turned to her muttering,” The dead never forgive, nor forget.  So begins my Curse.

I would really love have a go at this NaNoWriMo, and I've got a cool idea for a story (Its an epic fantasy with an unusual twist on the 'prophesied hero' concept), but I'm afraid that, at the rate I write, I'd have to drop out of college and quit my job if I wanted to get it done. . . bummer. . .

You know, I've always said to myself that I was going to write a novel but I never take the time to sit down and actually write it. So thank you for making this thread, because it reminded me of Nanowrimo and I signed up this year. Hopefully being signed up for it will actually make me start writing.

I'm doing this again this year. I did it last year and managed to make the 50,000 word goal. It's a lot of work, but I think it's worth it.

Don't think I'll officially do NaNo, but I do think I'll be pushing to write more that month.

As with last year I'll make an award and give it to anyone that completes NANOWRIMO.

42 has the 2007 trophy with the award next to his avatar (I need to re-upload the image which I'll do sometime this week), the 2008 will look the same but with 2008.
Screw it, I'm buying crayons and paper. I can imagineer my own adventures! Wheeee!
