On topic:  the OP has a point.  If the coins were point particles, and two people were pushing straight out on them, the coin would have to be exactly between them in order to stay still.  Otherwise it would accelerate sideways from the massive pushes, probably beaning some unfortunate passer-by.

However, I suspect that even the basic mistborn or mistings have slightly more control than that.  The coins are not point particles, but are extended bodies, and by pushing or pulling harder on one side than the other, more control is possible, although it probably takes experience.  Maybe this is why pushing matches are so hard.

So does someone have a link to the explanation of the ash mounts not being a problem?  If Brandon solved it, I'm kind of interested in knowing how.  Just the engineer in me.  :)

It hasn't been publicly revealed yet, but what I do know is that whoever the person is who writes the epigraphs at the beginning of MB3 "knows everything", so the epigraphs will sort of explain why that happens.

I'm looking forward to hearing the answer just like you :P

I'm just looking forward to getting to decide what profile picture Reaves gets to wear for a week when it's established that it's Rashek writing them.

Shouldn't Reaves have to back a more specific horse than "Not Rashek"?
All Saiyuki fans should check out Dazzle! Emotionally wrenching action-adventure and quirky humor! (At least read chapter 6 and tell me if you're not hooked.) Volume 10 out now!

True, that would be a little more fair.

Oh, no. Not at all nervous. I just want to have the opportunity to make you wear some other picture even if I'm wrong.

But the one I have now is  looking so handsomely masculine in that kinda gay, pretty anime way!

And if you're wrong? you are having doubts...

Or am I?

Actually, no, I'm really not. I'm still almost positive it's Rashek. If it's not, I will happily wear the picture of your choice for a week. However, I'm not wrong, so it doesn't matter.

However, that being said, Ookla's right. It would be more fair if you had to pick a specific character. That way if we're both wrong it's some consolation to me that you had to do it too. If you're right and I'm not.... Well, that's not going to happen anyway, so it doesn't really matter.

You really need to pick confidence or uncertainty and stick with it. In the last post you said you were almost positive and later on you said you were right. BIG difference there.

It's like you're schizophrenic or something.

I believe it's Multiple Personality (Dissociative identity disorder, actually); Schizo is seeing people who aren't there, like in A Beautiful Mind.

And he might, you never know unless you know, you know?... Like know Andrew... And symptoms for diagnosing Psychological disorders... yeah...  :P

Actually, it's both. I have multiple, schizophrenic personalities.

But I'm right. And in the EXTREMELY unlikely event that I'm not, I will happily wear whatever picture Reaves wants. In fact, if I get bored, I might help him find one.
