Alcatraz Versus The Scrivener's Bones cover art on amazon
« on: July 07, 2008, 10:31:46 PM »
On Amazon there is cover art for the next Alcatraz book.   It looks interesting, kind of sci-fi-ish.

I hope there is a high res image somewhere so we can start speculating.

I like it! They're obviously going for a more exciting look than the first cover. But having read the book, I can say the cover is fairly accurate, if stylized. Alcatraz's hair color is still wrong, though.
All Saiyuki fans should check out Dazzle! Emotionally wrenching action-adventure and quirky humor! (At least read chapter 6 and tell me if you're not hooked.) Volume 10 out now!

I showed it to my 8 & 9 years olds, both huge Alcatraz fans.  They asked so many questions about the cover alone that I wished I hadn't.  October feels further and further away.

Well, I loved it. The first book, I mean. Not that my statement helps you all that much. :P

I think so.  I'm reading it out loud to my kids for the second time and I'm enjoying it as much as they are.

I love the cover :) I think I would pick those two up based solely on their covers, even if I didn't know who Brandon was, and didn't already love his writing. Heck, I think I would have picked up all of Brandon's books based on the cover art, I liked them all. :)

Yay! New cover art to ogle. I do think the art is more edgy this time. I like it. Can't wait to get book #2 in the Alcatraz world. :)

I should say Reaves, you can get a few sample chapters on his website, if you want to get a hint about what the book's style is.
