How did you find out about Brandon Sanderson?

I first heard about Brandon Sanderson, when he was announced as the person who would finish Wheel of Time. When I wiki'd him, I was also pleasantly surprised to find that he was a fellow member of my church. I must admit that I was not expecting the series to be anywhere near as good as Mr. Jordan's work, but they were. I went out and bought Elantris and the rest is history.
