This is mostly for SE and Mpease (or however you spell that.)  I'm in DC this weekend.  Lunch?

Lunch would be ideal. On Friday if possible? I've got a really crazy weekend lined up, but I finally gave in and got a copy of Alcatraz and I'd like you to sign it.

Definately.  I've got Alcatraz for you to sign as well. ^^ Friday afternoon works for me too although I'm free all weekend.

If you'd both email me your phone numbers, I'll be sure to give you a call.  Friday is going to be rough for me--I'm coming down through Maryland during the afternoon, and might not actually get to D.C. until later in the day.  I'll know better tomorrow, and will give you each a call around ten.

Email on the way.

If you simply can't do then, well, I'll back out. I don't want to pressure you, and don't feel guilty if I miss out.

Email's sent. Do either of you have any preference on where we go or type of food?

D.C. is cool. But Tor really ought to send you to Boston sometime.  ;D

I'm a huge fan of Chinese (good Chinese anyway, when it's good, it's very very good, but when it's bad it's rotten), and Mexican is pretty good. And there is a Chevy's at Balston Common.

I eat Italian, but it's not a favorite (but didn't we do Italian last time?). And if neither of you have had it, perhaps we should go traditional American lunch and just have Burgers at Five Guys (near the Arlington courthouse metro station). I've only had one person eat it and not claim it was one of hte best burgers he'd ever had, and his wife thinks he's nuts because of it.

I like Chinese, Japanese, and Mexican as well as Italian although we did indeed have it last time. American is usually good, but I have a slight aversion to Five Guys. While I'm sure it's the best burger you could ever get - and my husband agrees with you - I just don't like hamburger. It's the texture. *shudders*

lol. Well, they do sell grilled cheese and hot dogs too, but if you don't want to go, there's plenty of other places.

Grilled cheese? really? In that case, I could be convinced. ^^ Especially if they serve them Croque Monsieur style? Dang, now I want some along with tomatoe soup...
