I'm not sure if this means the 60's were a bad time for children or now is.

If I had any clue, would I be here?

i'm not sure why every time sesame street does something everyone gets their panties in a bunch.

I think that they've simply learned how to program for children a little better. The typical fatherly figure just before that was made was always smoking a pipe. It was a warm and comforting figure for most. Why would it be obvious then that Cookie Monster shouldn't smoke a pipe?

Of course we know better the dangers of smoking now. So of course it's a bad idea to broadcast it like that to children.

The irony for me is that my coworkers and I were trying to get onto the Sesame Street website today. BYU's servers blocked it citing it as a pornographic site.
The Folly of youth is to think that intelligence is a subsitute for experience. The folly of age is to think that experience is a subsitute for intelligence.
