Dragonhaven
« on: October 19, 2007, 03:50:35 PM »
Has anyone read this?  It's the new book by Robin McKinley.  It's first person and it's a lot more introspective than most, so it was kind of an odd read for me.  I wanted to hear other people's opinions.
If I had any clue, would I be here?

It's on my to-read list. You mind writing a review? Perhaps?

I don't think I could write a review, because I don't feel like I really "got" this book.  That's why I've wanted other people's opinions on it.
If I had any clue, would I be here?

Seams like a great reason to write a review as there are obviously flaws in the book if you feel that way.
Screw it, I'm buying crayons and paper. I can imagineer my own adventures! Wheeee!

Do you have a copy I could borrow, then?

No, I don't have a copy.  I got one from the library that I read.  And I still don't think I can write a review, because I don't feel like I could express what about the book was weird to me.  I don't know how to explain it.
If I had any clue, would I be here?

I haven't gotten it, but Deerskin confused me very much. I believe that was written in first person as well. Robin Mckinely's books are either very good or very bad, in my opinion.
I want to be a publisher at Tor Fantasy when I grow up.
