I was hoping we could go see Brandon in Lakewood (WA) next Saturday.  Ah well.  Maybe I can talk my husband into going up to Seattle the night before that.

Bummer!  You could send a friend with your books to get them signed.  Or, come to Ubooks--it's a lot of fun there, and we'll probably do a whole reading and Q&A there, while I'm not sure if the Lakewood will have all of that or not.

When we went to see Lois McMaster Bujold at Ubooks my husband had to spend the entire time entertaining the child and didn't get to hear a thing.  Poor guy.  But I will ask him if he wants to go.  He sort of knows Dave Wolverton and might like to say hi.

Yeah, every signing I've seen at UBooks sets up chairs and a microphone for a reading and Q&A. I actually really like how well they take care of authors there.

I've been to two "readings" there now where nothing was actually read.  (Well, Terry Pratchett wasn't actually in the bookstore--they gave him one of the lecture halls.)

We'll be reading for sure.  I will probably try to bring my laptop and read from something unpublished, maybe Mistborn 3.

Cheetaur,

Leaving at 6:30, eh?  That's cutting it tight.  Our signing at Borderlands was added very late in the process, and mostly we're just showing up to say hello and sign stock.  I'd be happy to leave a personalized copy behind for you, but I think the store closes at eight, and so we might not be there much later than that.

I suggest calling the store if it's going to take you much past that time, all right?

hmmm, that's tough.  well, please don't worry about leaving a copy behind for me :), the only reason I'd head up to san fran is rellay to get a chance to meet you.  Well, if i can make it, i can make it, ill definately call ahead, and do my best to get there by like 7:30.  If not, Ill have to catch you on your next tour.  Thanks!

okay so I'm new here and all. Been a fan since Elantris, but no internet to voice said feelings.
anyhow, I just read that you'll be in Pocatello on Oct. 16 which is, well, wow! I grew up there and never had any issues with bookstores in that town till I moved to Phoenix, then I go back and try to find a book and thought AAAAH! I'm in the Twilight Zone...

I however, live in Montana now, and am unable to attend, but don't worry, if a woman of middle age or a very very tall guy in his late 20's shows up saying their obnoxious daughter or sister begged them to come in, that's me!

I tried to convince my husband that the kids should go see their grandma.... he saw right through me... says we can't afford it.  ::)

I'm glad for where I live.  I just need to go about two miles to get to the West Jordan signing.

We made it to Seattle!  The reading was much more fun than my dental appointment.  I'm about halfway through Alcatraz right now and laughing a lot.   ;D

Dang, that was you?  You people with your incredibly obscure net names.  Half the time I meet someone, I don't know that they've been hanging out on my forums.  ;)

Did she mention at the signing that she's my sister? (Like it says under her avatar.)
All Saiyuki fans should check out Dazzle! Emotionally wrenching action-adventure and quirky humor! (At least read chapter 6 and tell me if you're not hooked.) Volume 10 out now!
