actually its a variety show where Walken plays EVERY other part, women, children etc kind of like Eddie Murphy does.

There was actually a show very similar to this in the early-mid 90's that was on after Highlander where I was.

Basically a Vampire who was a cop/PI that was out to get those that turned him into one (in the 18th century I think) and solve mysteries.

You're probably thinking Forever Knight.  It's has one of the most depressing endings for a tv series.  About up there with Blake's 7.  And it depresses me that I know how either of these series end.
If I had any clue, would I be here?

Fell and I have something in the the pipes though it's completely different from what was previously done.
