Here's a quote from my roommate Noel:

"I'm cultured.  I like Weaser."
Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams die, life is a broken winged bird that cannot fly.  Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go, life is a barren field frozen with snow.  -Langston Hughes

Here's my favorite Noel quote, while we're on the subject.  I love it because she was completly serious when she said it:

"I'm going to try to be an optimist, but I'll probably fail miserably."

I tell ya, Cat Stevens is one of my favorites. My friend Kevin calls me "Hardheaded Whitman" because it's my theme song.  ;)

For some reason that makes me think of "Killer Queen" by... you  know... Queen.

Like that song.

And The Superfly theme song
Superfly-- Curtis Mayfield
Darkest of night
With the moon shinin' bright
There's a set goin' strong
Lotta things goin' on
The man of the hour
Has an air of great power
The dudes have envied him for so long

Oooh, Superfly
You're gonna make your fortune by and by
But if you lose, don't ask no questions why
The only game you know is "Do or Die"
Ah-ha-ha

Hard to understand
What a hell of a man
This cat of the slum
Had a mind, wasn't dumb
But a weakness was shown
'Cause his hustle was wrong
His mind was his own
But the man lived alone

Oooh, Superfly
You're gonna make your fortune by and by
But if you lose, don't ask no questions why
The only game you know is "Do or Die"
Ah-ha-ha

The game he plays he plays for keeps
Hustlin' cards on ghetto streets
Tryin' ta get over
(That's what he tryin' to do, y'all)
Takin' all that he can take
Gamblin' with the odds of fate
Tryin' ta get over
Tryin' ta get over
Tryin' ta get over
Tryin' ta get over
Woo, Superfly

The aim of his role
Was to move a lot of blow
Ask him his dream
What does it mean
He wouldn't know
"Can't be like the rest"
Is the most he'll confess
But the time's running out
And there's no happiness

Oooh, Superfly
You're gonna make your fortune by and by
But if you lose, don't ask no questions why
The only game you know is "Do or Die"
Ah-ha-ha

Superfly
Superfly
Superfly
Superfly

"Tryin' ta get over... [9x

Love MST3K.  One of my greatest sorrows in life is that my husband just doesn't like them.  They crack me up, and he just gets bored.   :(

I conviced my wife that she likes them and now we own a few...

Best ones I can think of are Mitchell, Santa Claus v Martians, I accuse My Parents, the King Arthur one with Basil Rathbone and some charlies angels clone...

My wife cracks up at that one... especially at the part where all the Buxom women run up the beach at one point and Tom Servo blurts out... "Its double "D" day....

Warrior of the lost world and the Pod People are my favorites.  And Eegah.  Just becuase I've watched it so many times.

I have bad associations with I accuse my parents.  Relationship I should NOT have been in.
