Comic-Con
« on: July 21, 2007, 07:07:29 AM »
So, is anyone coming to Comic-Con this year? Stacer?

Karen and I will only be down on Saturday. I'm behind in my books this month, so need all my workdays.
All Saiyuki fans should check out Dazzle! Emotionally wrenching action-adventure and quirky humor! (At least read chapter 6 and tell me if you're not hooked.) Volume 10 out now!

I just got your message, Peter, and you're right, I didn't go this year. No need for me--I was needed at more Mirrorstone-oriented shows this year.

Sorry I missed you! I was in the emergency room waiting for 4 hours to see if my shoulder was dislocated (it wasn't, I think, but I didn't wait any longer to find out because they kept saying "a few more minutes!" for so long that I decided it would be easier just to make an appointment with my regular doctor on Monday). (Rollerblading. I finally can afford the skates and now my body isn't as agile as it once was.)

4 hours is ridiculous!

It's okay, at least I got to see Anne again.

We tried to get into the Heroes panel, but the room was full (2000 people) and the line outside had 1000 people in front of us.

Hey Ookla, aren't you guys in the L.A. area? Turns out I've got plans for just after Labor Day now--talking to librarians in L.A. Let me know if you are, and I'll give you a call sometime in the next week or so with more details.

Yup. We now live in Torrance, which is where Brandon typically goes for his L.A. area signings.

No, but I have never been very clothing-conscious.

We did get "Vote for Petrelli" buttons though.

MUCH more awesome. Besides, if a movie based on a cartoon show that wasn't all that good in the first place can rape your childhood you either put too much importance on a movie, had an exceedingly sheltered childhood, or both.
