Well on Amazon
« on: February 01, 2007, 09:57:54 AM »
So I don't know when exactly it was put up, but Well of Ascension is now listed on Amazon with what I assume is the final cover.  Overall it looks pretty awesome, and it was a nice suprise to see it on Brandon's site. We should all go and get orders now.

Anyway, basically this is an awkwardly worded congratulations to Brandon for Amazon already allowing pre-orders.  Something like that anyway.

What, no link to the page?

Yeah, that's cool. My monitor at work sucks, color-wise though. So I'll have to look at it closer at home.

This isn't very new, MB2 has been up for about a month.  EUOL even mentioned it before on his Blog and it on the website.

The cover is new, though.  Just went up today.

Yeah, because before we just had some in-progress cover art. It's cool to see it, though it surprised me that the font is so different in color than the first one was. And the thin lines across the top and bottom on the first book aren't picked up for this one either. I guess I thought that they'd carry those things over.

Anyway, this cover looks quite evocatively dark. I also like the yellowish or off-white color of the font. It's not so in-your-face as the orange. It's more elegant and yet aged looking. Of course, my monitor doesn't do so great with color, so I'll see better what I think of the whole thing once I'm home. ;)

I like it, the whole thing. I will probably pre-order this month and the waiting is going to kill me ;)

I realize that, I was pointing out the fact that it had the cover art now and not just a 'No Image Available' thing.

So, is that a mistwraith in the picture, or something new?

that'd be Vin bustin the heads of the Koloss.  I like the tone of this cover a lot.  I imagine the same thing will happen with this cover as MB1 in that the colors will be richer when seen physically on the cover of the book - this has the makings of a fantastic "face-out" cover for bookstores.

Not necessarily; she wasn't really that particular about which part of the Koloss she was busting up. She could very well be busting up their feet or their arms or some other important bodypart.
