Combining the New Years Party with the Magic Draft would be like having two events in the same place. I don't really see the two mingling well together, IMO.

That's why I didn't want to combine the two, we've got a large draft going on that will take most of the day.

Uh... come again? Most of the day? How much time are we committing to with this thing, exactly?

I don't think it would be a problem simply because all our past TWG parties have been nothing but people breaking up into groups to do various activities. How would one group doing a Magic draft be any different?

The one year I fix it so I can be in town New Years Eve and what are you people doing?  Nothing.

I have no luck.  Or bad karma.  Or both.

Well, I just decided to come to town, and Fish and I are going to do something awesome for New Years. After all, if my singles ward could have game nights on Sunday evenings, then we can certainly do something cool like have an Avatar Season I marathon (which is my vote) on New Years Eve. Or maybe we'll borrow an MSTK from you guys, because I haven't seen any of the new ones. And I'd like a rematch with Tage in Fluxx, or whatever that crazy game was, because I totally should have won.

I would lend you my boxset but EUOL has it, he's probably forgotten that he has it as well.

Sadly Season 2's box set is still about 9 months away.

*Fish laughs

Whatever.  We've totally done things on Sunday's before--MST3K when stacer was in town for example.

Season 2 just finished about 2 weeks ago (if that) and while they are starting with 4 episode DVD releases next month I like to wait for the boxset since they have more extras.

And Fish, that was because Stacer was in town, going to hell is worth it for when a friend visits but not for celebrating the new year.  ;)

Well, if we go to hell, at least MsFish and I will be there together.  ;)

I know, I totally wish the box set of Avatar Season II was coming out sooner, but I'm willing to wait  for it to come out rather than buy the individual DVDs, especially since I've already seen all of Season II on TV. Thanks for the offer of the loan, Sprig, though I'm not sure if it was of Avatar or MST3K. I'm getting Avatar Season I box set for Christmas, so I'm really excited, and I want Fish to see it because she hasn't and it is sooooo awesome.  ;D

If you're going to make me watch Avatar, I'm going to make you watch Buffy.  Be warned.
