iPod no play .avi files. Does anyone know of a freeware software package for windows that I can use to convert a few avi files into a format that iTunes/iPod will enjoy?

Free?  Ya I think I know of a few but I'll have to get back to you after work since that's where my bookmarks are.  Or, if it's not a large file you can e-mail it to me and I can convert the file in Vegas for you.

Sorry, forgot about this, here's the link:

For an Ipod select the Ipod container from the first menu and it will change all the other settings for you the drag and drop all the video's you want to convert to the box near the bottom.  This is a pretty good piece of software and I use it when I don't have to do any actually editing in Vegas.
