Name: Christmas Name 2006

Type: Unique
Level: 3+
Award Method: Achievement
Cost: N/A
Active: Yes
Active Date: December 01, 2006-December 20, 2006
Description: Voted Best Christmas Name 2006 in our Holiday naming events.

Earn this Unique, that means only one for the forum folks, award by participating in our  Christmas Name 2006 in our Holiday naming event, this contest is open to most members so you need to be at least level 3 to participate (to cut down on possible fraud).  If you've never been around for one of our holiday naming events let's go over the rules.

1)Name yourself something cleaver for the holiday by taking your username and twisting it to have relevance for the holiday

2)During the week of December 1st-15th  PM Spriggan with your favorite 3 usernames.  Don't vote for yourself or we'll toss your votes, also don't bother trying to create a new account to vote for yourself, we have that level restriction for a reason and can easily determine who's cheating.

3) Spriggan will then take the top 5 names and create a poll allowing everyone to vote on their favorites (again you'll need to be level 3 to vote so don't bother trying to cheat) between December 15th-20.

4) On December 15th the winner will be awarded their prize.
Good Luck!

Just a reminder that this award is now active, I changed the dates a bit because I wasn't able to get to this until now.

So far I've only gotten one PM so lets get some more and we'll have us a vote.

:(   I can't vote!

Let's see . . . how many more posts before I can level up to 3?

If I post a few hundred mindless comments all over the forum I can level up . . . I'll start here!

level three won't take a few hundred. More like a couple dozen

I was just being silly.   But I suppose I shouldn't joke about breaking forum rules since posting just to post is a big no-no.

(I hope this post doesn't fall into that category.   I get the feeling I'm walking on thin ice . . . step carefully, Hauf!)

Level 3 is 30 posts total, so 7 more.

I can bumb it down to level 2 though, the main reason for having a level restriction is so people don't cheat by making new accounts.

Go ahead Hauf and PM me with your choices and we'll see where you are when actual voting comes up in this thread.

While I though Merry Chimeras was awesome the first time I saw it, I still have to go with Gorgon for all around bestness. It's sad that I had to choose though.

I just gave Hauf a fell point because not just for following the rules, but because he's obviously read them.

I didn't actually know we were having an actual contest this year.  *whoops*

I like Merry Chimeras, I'm not going to lie.

We're going to be doing this for major holidays every year, however we're not sure on the exact list yet.

Which one is next?  Boxing Day?

I just gave Hauf a fell point because not just for following the rules, but because he's obviously read them.

Wow!   Thanks.

I like written rules.  It's the unwritten ones that tend to trip me up.  <sarcasm>Maybe that's why my high school social life was so awesome.</sarcasm>   (I'll just pretend it was only high school that was awkward.)

I spend my entire life pretending.
