I saw that, and before I saw that he (she?) was in one of Brandon's classes, thought it was you.

I think I've convinced my visiting teaching companion to buy a copy.  It's very easy to get mormon friends interested, I just have to sell them on the fact that it's a good fantasy novel that's clean.

My bishop's wife is considering buying a copy for her 12-year-old son, who devours fantasy. But she's afraid it might be too high for him, reading level wise (she was holding the book at the time, so she would be a better judge of that than I). He's not a very advanced reader. But she said she'd look at it and see if it's something he might like or at least grow into. So if nothing else, you may have a reader in a couple of years.

My copy arrived at the American Fork PO yesterday morning! Hopefully that means that the Orem office has it today and will be dropping it off for EUOL to sign. Yay!

I've been trying to convince my family to buy this, but only one of my sisters has committed so far. The others keep saying silly things like "we don't buy books" or "we're not really into fantasy". They read Harry Potter but not Elantris? I am beginning to think I am related to some very silly people.
If I had any clue, would I be here?

Mine arrived!!

It is indeed a beautiful book. BUT it looks to me like the slipcover layout is a little off. The spine part isn't centered on the spine, and when I tried to center it by refolding the flaps, the cover image is not wide enough to accommodate.

I must admit I jumped to the climactic part at the end to see if anything about the part involving the stick had changed, and was a little surprised that it hadn't.

All Saiyuki fans should check out Dazzle! Emotionally wrenching action-adventure and quirky humor! (At least read chapter 6 and tell me if you're not hooked.) Volume 10 out now!

The last time I read it and commented all the way through was before Raoden's insane brother got excised from the book.

BTW, I like the way the aons repeat for the 3 different viewpoint characters. Until the final "part," of course. Nice touch.

I wish my copies would hurry up and show. I figured they'd be coming from California or something but noooo, Atlanta.

Congratulations EUOL! :)

I wonder how much it would cost to send you a copy for you to autograph it? o_o
If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)

well you have a few options Entropy, one is you could buy it via Amazon.com (usa) and have them ship it to EUOL's address then throw about shipping costs into my paypal account or you could place the full book price and shipping into my Paypal account.

I'm not sure how much the book costs, and there might be book rates for international mail, but standard costs are listed here for a 2 pound object.
