I'm also grumpy because
a) I keep not seeing Sprig on IM
and
b) I couldn't sleep last night. Couldn't even stop moving. I guess it's cool that I watched like, 3 hours of Smallville and played with my kids' legos, but I'd rather not have the headache and disorientation that I get from not getting anywhere near enough sleep.

I could be considered grumpy because we may or may not be able to get our first issuse of the Vanishing Point out in color like we were hoping for since Kinkos is an expensive piece of poo. Hopefully some campus will have a color copier/printer that we'll be able to use for this. Scheme!

Never. Use. Kinkos.

Of course, color printing is expensive no matter how you cut it, but we can do a b/w 340 page, spiral bound manual with a full color cover and a stiff front and back cover in very small runs for about $20/ea. using a local place. Ends up being around 200 bones a job. The big chains want to charge twice that.

How can they be perfectly good if they are moldy? :P
If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)

Though there are many things disturbing me right now, I am very bothered that I forgot to take home a picture that one of my students gave me. I feel really bad because this woman gave it to me because she is going into surgery and is really scared, so she gave me the picture so that I would remember her if things didn't work out.

The surgery really isn't that serious and I'm sure she will come through, but I'm mad that I put down the picture so I could help clean then forgot about it. The picture got thrown out when the next class started. So now I'm really hoping that this woman's surgery goes well.

I'm actually depressed because I feel that I've been mostly bungling all my attempts to "help and serve" others this week. It just bites.

We have a stake activity tonight before the Relief Society broadcast, so we planned the ward campout so we'd be back this morning. (That part was fun.) Well, I got home, was getting ready to prepare my Sunday School lesson, and was completely knocked over by some weird sickness that I get periodically. It's the same thing that sent me in that ambulance ride to the emergency room back in March. The doctor has an idea what it might be, but basically doesn't know and has no way of knowing, so he said back before I left Boston that whenever it hits again, take a lot of ibuprofen and rest. While it does eventually work, that leaves me in high acute pain until it kicks in--the kind of pain that woke me up when this happened in the middle of the night in March.

So I slept all afternoon, and I still feel bad. I want to make myself go to the activity (free food! :)), but I just feel so bad that maybe I should stay home. Yet maybe if I get up and moving it'll wear off--I didn't need to sleep four hours this afternoon other than because of this, so I might just be grumpy from too much sleep.

Yeah, I made myself go to the broadcast, and I'm glad I did. It was really what I needed to hear. I'm doing my best to remain well for this weekend, don't worry! :)

Bah.  After a few days of my trial period, my new job decided I was not what they were looking for.  I am now jobless again.

So quickly? That doesn't seem fair--everyone experiences some sort of learning curve when they start a new job, no matter how qualified.

That stinks.  :P
