I like "The Hero of Ages" better...
All Saiyuki fans should check out Dazzle! Emotionally wrenching action-adventure and quirky humor! (At least read chapter 6 and tell me if you're not hooked.) Volume 10 out now!

Sorry, but this just makes me think of the song:

The Fi-Nal Count-Down!

I'm a big fan of Hero of Ages, too.  What was the reason for the change?  Or is this just a typo?

Ditto to above.  I don't like The Final Hero at all.

eh.  Annotation was probably written before I finalized the titles.  Let me have a look.

Update:

Yup, that was it.  I didn't even notice that I had the old title in there.  Yeah, I like Hero of Ages much better too.  That, I guess, is why I changed it!

Annotation is updated.  Nice catch.

I was wondering--since you're releasing Warbreaker right now, it might be interesting to mention Mythwalker in the title page 2 annotation for Mistborn, for the skaa and koloss source, as well as saying other parts of Mythwalker have made it into Warbreaker.

Good point.  I'll make sure to slip that into one of the annotations.  Probably should also go in the FAQ, which I'm planning to start up here soon.

Mythwalker was a book Brandon started writing after the book he did after the book he did after Elantris, and before the first short versions of Mistborn and The Final Empire. It had to be abandoned for various reasons, but the Skaa and Koloss come from it in altered form. In Warbreaker, the characters of Siri, Vivenna, and the Emperor also come from Mythwalker.

I have a history of cannibalizing old projects that didn't work in order to make new books.  There were a lot of elements of MYTHWALKER that I wanted to use some day, but they transformed quite a bit.

Siri's character, however, managed to stay remarkably similar to what it had once been.  Her plot as well.  I guess that's because she--and her story--was a big part of what made me want to do MYTHWALKER in the first place.

Psst! Would it be possible for you to bring your hard copy of Hero of Ages to Bucca on Saturday?
