EMAIL OUT
« on: September 27, 2006, 10:31:34 PM »

ALERT!

If you sent Brandon an Email between 6:00 on Tuesday the 26th of September and 7:00 on Wednesday, the 27th, he DID NOT GET IT.  There was a problem with the spam filters on the server, and everything sent to me was automatically deleted.  That includes email through the form on my website, any replies to emails I may have sent you, and any just random "How are you doing?" emails that I might have gotten.

I've sent out emails to those I think might have emailed me.  However, the people I'm most worried about are readers who sent mail through my website.  There's no way for me--obviously--to contact them and let them know that I didn't get their email.  So, if you think I might not have gotten your email, please go ahead and resend it.

Thanks!

rickstranger.

I still haven't figured out how to make my computer SEND emails from the brandonsanderson.com account.  Every time I try, I get an error.  That's why any you send to me come out as rickstranger emails.

I haven't emailed, but I did just happen to find a Scalzi thing that amuses me. Post is on my LJ.

What about if we sent you an email like a month and a half ago, and you never responded?

This mostly had to do with setting up a book signing for you at TLE. We have quite a few staff members now that fall semester has started and if we set up a definite date and time (i.e. knew for sure you would come), then I would be willing to totally promote it by bringing my own copies of your books to meetings prior to the book signing and inviting people to read some so they could decide whether to buy a copy for themselves or not. So if that is of interest to you, then let me know. The sooner the better because I'd like to give staff members plenty of time to get a copy if they want.

Also, I don't believe we have a contract from you for the nonfiction piece and although I trust you, I still think we should have one.

The issue should be out in the next few weeks, so if you wanted your signing to coincide with the release party, you'd be welcome to do that. Then we could just give you your copies at the same time. Or whatever. Just let me know.
