Velvet Revolver
« on: June 10, 2004, 09:01:38 AM »
Anyone know if the group is any good?  Velvet Revolver is basicaly GN'R with Scott Weiland (of STP fame) replaceing Axel.  I'm tempted to go out a get their first CD (wich came out this week) but want to know if anyone has heard them before.
Screw it, I'm buying crayons and paper. I can imagineer my own adventures! Wheeee!

What I've heard of them sucks hardcore. They did a song for the closing credits of The Hulk. It was TERRIBLE. No, seriously, I've never sat through the credits because i can't stand the song.

I wasn't impressed with what they did for Hulk either. So I'm still waiting for them to impress me.

I never heard the Hulk one, so I'm afraid I wouldn't know if the rest of the album sounded like it.

Well I finaly bought the CD, and it's quite good.  It sounds a lot more like STP then GnR.

Also that Hulk song is on it as well, and you're right it sucks.  Its the worst song on the album.

They play a song of theirs with lyrics saying "come to wash away the sins of you and I" on KROQ a lot, so the editor in me takes note.

I like the song though...

*wonders if it's the one you hate*

All Saiyuki fans should check out Dazzle! Emotionally wrenching action-adventure and quirky humor! (At least read chapter 6 and tell me if you're not hooked.) Volume 10 out now!

i don't think it is. I've only heard the song twice though, and only once completely. I hate it enough that i won't listen anymore.
