I'm sorry. My reason is very boring
I just got a new temp program which has glitchy things that wont let me put the shared music into the library - Instead I am restricted to the random single tracks that are sitting around my local stuff, which are there for unknown reasons.
Told you it was boring.

I'm listening to Muse (a compilation cd, and I'm not sure of the names of the albums, though one of the songs is called Stockholm Syndrome) because it is absolutely wonderful and not so hard that my baby cries when I play it in the car. I'm told that the three guys in this band all went to school at Juliard (sp?) together, and instead of going into classical music, decided to form a rock band.  There's a great song where at the end they start playing Rachmaninoff, and another where they pay homage to Philip Glass.
If I had any clue, would I be here?

The Lizzie McGuire Movie Soundtrack
(tee hee, I'm such a girly girl sometimes. Even though it's my roommate's and was already in the CD player, I admit that I wasn't opposed to listening to it)

I actually really like the version of Bailero--better than Andre Boticelli's. Go Italian pop!
There is just no way you are the pine-scented air. --Billy Collins, "Litany"

That's hilarious - because *I'm* listening to that! My friend is obsessed with Hillary Duff *sigh*.
Ah well. Italian Pop all the way!

I'm listening to disc three of the special deluxe edition of The Kinks are the Village Green Preservation Society.

Because it is full of yummy Kinks goodness. And I love the Kinks. And this is the Kinks-est of the Kinks album. It is definitely NOT for the average viewer.

Disc three has many rarities unavailable anywhere else any more, like the fun instrumental "Mick Avory's Underpants." *giggle*

Neutral Milk Hotel - In The Aeroplane Over the Sea:
Discovered this thanks to an iTunes mix.  Great stuff and so catchy I can't get it out of my head all day.  Too bad they broke up in like, 1998.

The Be Good Tanyas- Everything.
Imagine if Norah Jones did folk with harmony.  Yeah, it's that good.  Especially "The Littlest Birds"

/me must hear that.

I'm listening to The Bouquet. They never recorded anything but a demo tape, but I have a copy of that. They were cool, with Carolee's vocals being unique.. feminine without being girly. Pained but not self-pitying. Definitely an emo precursor though.
