I'm obsessed with Japanese music at the moment.  I can't get enough.  My favourites are Nami Tamaki and Nana Kitade.

I love the Ayumi remixes, myself (and some of her newer stuff).

If Ayumi's too JPop for your tastes, I also really like Hitomi's "Samurai Drive" (a heavier rock sound), and Utada Hikaru (R&B).  If you want more Hip Hop, try BoA.

Thanks Jade I'm always looking for recommendations as I hate trawling through the net to find things.  I don't have much patience for that.  I'll definitely check them out. :)

Rhapsody of fire - The mystic prophecy of the demon knight.

this song is totall 16 minutes of awesome. It's symphonic metal (that is, a metal band backed up by an orchestra and choir)

A friend recently introduced me to Eluvium.  Nice, peaceful stuff.

^ Oooh, I really like Eluvium as well. I like to listen to it when I read or am doing something important. It's very calming.

Currently, however, I am listening to Goldfrapp's Felt Mountain album.

At the moment I'm listening to Clint Mansell's "Death is the Road to Awe." Simply an epic piece of music. I get chills every time I listen to anything by Clint. The man is a master of his craft.
