dance dance dance
« on: November 10, 2005, 10:04:54 PM »
i heard the song "dare" by the gorillaz on the radio.  that is one good dance song.  I could say a bunch of other good dance/club songs <that happen to not be rap> but i will suffice with that.  Anyone else got some favorite or good dance songs?  I would like to hear them.

the video for the song is also kind of funky.  frankenstein giant head thing going on while noodle ( the female character) dances around.

Delerium - "Silence (Airscape Remix)"

Heard it at one of the Technoheadz parties (the mojo at the dojo), and instantly fell in love.

I find it strangely satisfying that the moment I go back to check this thread, Winamp decides to play Delerium - "Silence (DJ Tiësto in Search of Sunrise Remix)"

For what it's worth, I own two Delerium albums, and one single (Silence), and I love all three.  They're right up my alley, except perhaps lyrically (though I do like the lyrics to Silence - and I love that one of the songs is in Middle English).

I haven't heard it in a long time, but Turkish pop star Tarkan's song Simarik (also known as the Kiss Kiss song), is awesome to dance to.

Being reminded of that really wants to make me buy the CD. I like music with a kind of Middle Eastern or Indian flare.

Okay, insomnia and fond memories can lead to impulse buying. I went to itunes and bought the Tarkan CD. Nevertheless, I think it was totally worth it. Now I have an entirely new sound in my music library and a song that I have wanted to own for forever, but forgot about for a very long time. I am very happy with my purchase.  ;D

See, you won't want my opinion. My idea of dance music is still late 80s synth-pop (upbeat Erasure, Depeche Mode, Aha, etc)

For some rockin dance music, check out a Nortec song called Polaris. I think it's by Bostitch.

e, most of the music on my ipod is 80s synth pop.  basically if you can think of a hit in the 80s i got it.  The most recent addition was when i heard "dead or alive - something in my house" on halloween.  I got the song the next day.  80s rocks!

just listened to that silence(airspace remix)  good dance song.
just listened to that tarkan simarik song.  i can see why you like it.  I like it too.  Having served in france on my mission and getting to become friends with the arabs there (also the ones that are burning things in france now), I have grown to like arabic music.

ok. finally listened to that nortec collective-polaris.  that song freaking rocks!! thanks so much for a new music group to look up.  I was literally dancing in my chair while i typed.

'I'm not Okay i promis' by My Chemical Romance.

I also suggest the song 'Dark Blue' Jack Mansquin
