Speaking of libraries, the one I'm in right now is about 40 degrees. I'm trying to type on a laptop with GLOVES on. And it's not working very well; it's just taken me five minutes to type this little paragraph...  :P

My local library is pretty good. There is like 4 libraries in my town, so they have a pretty damn big selection.

Reminds me of the british library though. Big BIG circular room. Close a book and it echoes right around. Bloody stupid design. But, it has a copy of every book published in britain since, uh, idk. 50 years ago at least i suppose. So when EUOL and mustardio publish their books, a copy will be in there :)

Oh, mustard - what meaning does your sig have?

It from some Alanis Morissette song.  I've never known what it meant, but I thought it sounded funny.

The Stephan Lawhead books are good: The Pendragon Cycle.  Don't bother seeing the Merlin Movie - it is crap.  Emphasis on crap.

There is another series, which is kinda based on the arthurian legends, kinda roman, but I can't for the life of me remember it.... oh well... too much caffeine

ACtually I highly enjoyed Merlin. I believe so much that I purchased a VHS copy of the movie. It was well worth the watch.

i'm gonna go in between those last two opinions but closer to Gemm. The special effects are well... cheesy. But the over all plot and themes are wonderful. The themes are even pretty faithful, though the plot takes a lot of liberties. It's hardly representative, but it's pretty decent.

I caught Excalibur on HBO the other day.  It was pretty good.  I was a little surprised however by the sex scene/nudity (the Dish Network info said it was a PG movie).

Yeah, I looked it up later.  The Dish must have had it wrong.

One thing that I think makes Robin Hood and King Arthur stories so cool is these are legends that have been told for nearly the last thousand years.  How many people have heard of Drizzt?  How many have heard of Robin Hood?  Definatily not the only reason they are popular, but it has to play some role in it.
