See what amazing self-control we have
« on: November 10, 2005, 03:37:28 AM »
My husband and I went to Costco with a friend who bears the magic card of admittance.  While there we picked up The Complete Calvin and Hobbes, and we are not opening them.  Nope, going to wait until Christmas.  Not opening them, even though they are sitting...right...there...

....aaaaggghh!

Wow, I don't think I could do that. Kudos.

Open them! Open them! Calvin and hobbes is the best, I have them all, but in all the seperate books since the complete pack thing hadn't come out yet. Anyway, I understand you you want to wait, but Calvin and Hobbes is a higher priority then integrity or whatever.

i used to love it as a  kid, but as i have been reading or not reading it in the daily universe, i don't like it as much as i used to.  I like foxtrot way more now.  probably just because jason is hilarious and nerdy.
everything was going fine, until i critically failed my intelligence check!

I share your pain, not really because I don't own it, but I theoretically do. Calvin acts just like my older brother did when he was a kid, no joke. I wonder if this is because he was born around the same time it came out or because my father was ADHD? We will never know and there is no point speculating. Stop it. Now. I know you are still speculating. It is making me angry. must...suppress...murderous rage...Have a cookie!

I like cookies. As long as you weren't suppressing murderous rage while baking them.  ;D

No, handing them out was the suppression of murderous rage. Baking them was a whole different matter.
