The lone gunmen
« on: May 15, 2003, 10:56:24 PM »
Does anyone else remember this show. It was a Fox spin off of X-files and ran for a season. I loved it, but when it got canned, it disappeared completely.
Does anyone know where I can file some tapes or anything?

Do you actually mean 'file' or were you looking to 'find' some tapes?

I don't know about filing, but I would bet you could find what you're looking for on ebay or perhaps on a downloading service like Kazaa or Morpheus.

I wouldn't expect high quality recordings though.

I meant find, yeah. As for Kazaa, there is exactly 1 mpeg and it has the bottom of the screen cut off. Ebay and various search engines have turned up nothing, as if the show never existed.

Such is the fate of quickly cancelled show, I guess.

The show was kind of interesting, but I wasn't too upset when they canned it.

There are many cancelled shows that I wish I could find. Unfortunately, if a show doesn't perform well often the distribution company doesn't see fit to release a home-version.

Sad thing was, It did well, holding second place in its ratings slot (agains ER, Fow hates all its shows) they just canned it for no explicable reason, sort of like what they did to futurama, only much faster.

They canned it becasuse it did will it's first few showings then droped out of the top 50 by the 4th episode.  I saw 2 episodes laughed and said this will be cancled by november and I was right.  It was a pretty sad show in a lot of respects.  They guys were great in X-files but 1 hour of them was too much.  It just wasn't that funny, which is what people were expecting.
