Whale Rider

Has anyone else seen this movie? I just saw it and it was very cool. Yes, it is very low-budget indepent film like, but I found it to be cool. I like the kind of documentary style the film has. And the scenes with the whales are awsome.

I've never heard of it. Does it have a Deus ex Whale in it?

I rented it a couple weeks ago and only had the time to watch it halfway through, so decided to return it and rent it again when I had the time to really watch it, because it was fascinating. Come to find out a couple days ago that the DVD had not been returned with the case; it was sitting out on my TV! So I could have watched it at leisure. Oh well. By then it was so overdue and I was pretty busy, so I just returned it. But I've heard great things about it, and from what I've seen, I want to take a nice quiet night to see it all the way through. I think (hope) it'd make a great date movie. ;D

Yes, yes it does have Deus ex Whale in it.

It's about a tribe in New Zealand that worship whales.
