I deliberately didn't do TV/Cartoons. because without thinking about it there is a superman cartoon and TV series, plus old cartoons and an old serial series, batman (2 series) three different team up incarnations, 2 series of superfriends, birds of prey, a flash series, spider-man series, at least 3 spider-man cartoon series, at least 2 hulk series, a fantastic four series, at least 2 x-men series, teen titans. And that's without pausing. It was just too much. Someone can list those out if they want.

I really enjoyed DD, and would put it in the very good section. But everybody else is foolish. Batman forever was average when i last saw it, which was a while ago. Hellboy needs its own section - 'UBER 31337'. MIB is a good movie, but I feel no desire to watch it again... so average is right I guess.

Most of the placement you guys disagree with me on is to move things up in rank. Which goes to demonstrate my point even more. There are more average or better movies in the superhero genre than there are bad entries.

then you should do it in a way that shows me wrong, rather than proving my important ideas right :)

Or maybe it's the fact that we're so traumatized by the sub-par ones that they stand out more.

oh, you know, there's another one I should add on there. LXG. I'm thinking that pulp is "close enough" for superheroes. I'm putting it in the average category. Some neat ideas, some halfway decent acting, some really poor execution.

That actually was a comic first, wasn't it?

I would put Spawn in the really bad category, and the little I saw of LXG would belong there as well.

I just saw Elektra. It sucked.

Ok, they got the first five minutes right, and Jennifer is UBERHAWT, but they seemed to absolutely stuff it up from there on.

Firstly, she's supposed to be a leet Ninja assassin. The pacing is terrible - no fight scenes for the first half or three quarters, then most of the uninspired bad guys die in one attack. There's no cool ninja moves or surprise stunts.

Secondly, Elektra is supposed to be cold and stuff. But she spends half the movie running around screaming like a hysterical mother. Please, I udnerstand the need for defence of a target, but this is Elektra. She should defend the target with skill, calm and strategy, not by running away until fifty ninja appear in a complete force of Deus Ex Machina.

Yeah, this movie had fifty ninja save the day and I didn't like it. What would have saved it would be awesome ninja stunts that displayed clearly Garner's, ah, "acting ability."

Virtua Cop 3, which I played today, is cooler and more exciting. Which leaves the best bit of Elektra being the lesbian kiss, and the other woman isn't even pretty.

Virtua Cop 3 is an awsome game.  I like all the things they added to try and take the genra somewhere else.
Screw it, I'm buying crayons and paper. I can imagineer my own adventures! Wheeee!

I had to add something to the comic to movie list...

Howard the Duck (waauuuugh!)

And Garner can act when she wants to, see just about anything else she did...ok, maybe not Dude Where's My Car.
It's too bad she was injured, I was looking forward to seeing her comedic side on SNL last week.

What about "13 Going on 30?" She was pretty good in that. Not that I watched it... I was reading, and my sister had the movie on... She was the one watching it, not I!
