Riding Giants
« on: March 04, 2005, 12:24:47 AM »
This is a surfing movie, and I have, or rather had, no interest in surfing whatsoever before I watched it.  But the movie does an excellent job of catching the passion that many feel for the sport.  I found the movie very enjoyable, and if you have a few spare hours, particularly on a snowy, foggy day, this would be worth your time.

SPeaking of surf movies, I never thought that a movie that was just footage of people surfing in different locations with a few comments about differences in approach would interest me, but Endless Summer was exactly that, and when I watched it, well.. I was sucked in.

what's great about Endless Summer is how unintentionally ethnocentric/racists the commentators are.
