Aquaman
« on: November 14, 2005, 08:24:53 PM »
So the people who make Smallville have decided that superman is boring. So who is more exciting than Superman...not Batman and not Wonder Woman...Aquaman, duh.

We'll see where this goes.

Aquaman was bad enough, but saving the oceans? I'll admit that's a good cause and all, but it sounds absolutely dreadful as a show.

I've known this was coming for quite a while due to the "aquaman Embargo" on him and his villains on Justice League Unlimited.

Not sure what else to say except, Aquaman?

Sounds like oil companies and fishing boat crews won't be watching that show :(
If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)

Smallville is a guilty pleasure of mine. I missed the Aquaman episode, though. Hmm, I wish I'd missed the Halloween "vampire virus" episode instead... That one sucked.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't watch a series on Aquaman. Eh, just doesn't sound that thrilling.

Besides, I only have so much TV time I can squeeze in between studying and everything else. And I don't see myself replacing my weekly "quality time" with Welling any time soon. ;)
Lord Ruler and Lady Protractor were off on vacation, thus the angles running amok.

Personally I saw the Smallville episode with Aquaman and I thought it was lame. I didn't like the character at all and I didn't understand why Aquaman was going ga-ga over Lois and vice versa when he knew he wasn't going to be in town very long. He was really obnoxious. I think Smallville is just okay and I watch it cause my husband loves Superman and it works as something to watch.

I'll only watch if someone puts a fishbowl on his head.

Aquaman summons a swarm of clown fish to attack Harbinger, only to discover that once again his ability to control fish is useless.

Aquaman summons fish to the dish, although he likes the Chalet Swiss--he likes the sushi 'cause it's never touched a frying pan.

I reckon that being able to understand the thoughts of fish would be a liability, judging by the way my girls' betta fish act. It'd be all. "There's the man again! I'm so excited! Food! little nuggets of food! FOOD! AUGH! WHat's that spoon thing!?! WHat's he doing? NO! NOT OUT OF THE BOWL! Oh... this is nice. It's very big. Hm... Wonder when the man will show up and feed me. AUGH! WHat's that spoon thing?!?!" etc.
