Elizabethtown

So I watched this with my wife completely expecting to be bored with it.  After all, I despise Kirsten Dunst (a conversation we've already covered here in great detail) and wasn't sure Orlando could pull off a non-action lead.

I was wrong.  This is one of the best movies I've seen in a little while, actually.  Plus, it has a killer soundtrack and an appearance by My Morning Jacket, one of my favorite bands.

Even Big Head, er...Kirsten, was tolerable in it.

Color me pleasantly suprised.

Yeah, I went to see this at the theater with a bunch of people, all expecting it to be a chick flick.  I went under duress, because I didn't WANT to see my 123871298273th chick flick, because they're all the same.

I was the only one who liked the movie, and I liked it *a lot*.  It's certainly not what it was billed to be in the previews.

I forgot to rave a bit about Alec Baldwin's small role.

He really shines in the small roles these days.
