man, i saw the trailer at the king kong movie i went to last night.  I can't wait for it, beast looks pretty cool imo.  I hope they go through the angel arch (where he becomes a horseman) now that he is in the movie.  Having apocalypse in it (the following movies) would be good too.  I know that would entail lots of things happening and lots of other people where horsemen, including wolverine, but angel seems to be the most memorable as good to bad then back.

Also, i want to play the game before i see the movie, because it gives us the story as to why nightcrawler isnt  in this movie.

Another tasty trailer is out:

http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/tls/trailer/large.html

There's more details about some of the specific mutants in Magneto's army, but I don't know enough to name them. Look pretty cool.

Well, Juggernaut. That's a surprise for me. But I'm pleased. ALthough he's not the abnormally huge freak suffering from Giganticism in every limb of his body. But it looks like they did a good job with him.

He's not really a mutant though.

They didn't really show any of the evil mutant powers. So I can't really say which ones they've included.

After some research on IMDB

The gal who says "More powerful than you" is Psylocke.

The mutant who is shown changing beast to not-blue, is Leech.

The kid with the spikes coming out of his face is called Quill.

Psylocke? That makes sense. She's in a ton of shots, so I figured she had to be somebody important.

edit: I didn't notice Beast turning normal again, so I went back and watched; very cool. In light of that, I'm pretty sure the black-haired woman at the end is Mystique, leeched of all her powers and weirdness.

My favorite moments are both with Jean: first when they find her body, and Logan is leaning over her, you can see rocks floating in the background. That's a very cool touch. The other is the last line, where she says "kill me"--I think they're going to handle the Phoenix/Jean's return thing really well.

The question remains of who the other evil mutant girl is, the one who claps her hands and makes a big explosion?

Actually it could be Callisto instead of Psylocke. The piercings and tattoos make it hard to tell.

I'm thinking the gal clapping her hands is mutant they created for the movie who is unnamed.

The hand clapper could easily be Jubilation Lee.   She's mentioned in the credits for a minor role.

Doubtful is Jubilee. She's hangin' with the brotherhood right? Jubilee is a good guy. And she's shown up in X2 as well.

I was just thinking how the sheer number of new and old mutants alone makes this such an ambitious project. It's an awesome undertaking. The plot doesn't look to be any less rich or complex, either. Yay! This bodes well.

ICv2 has an interesting article about Fox's plans with the X-man franchise.

http://www.icv2.com/articles/news/8322.html

Quote
Twentieth Century Fox's X-Men movie trilogy will come to an end with X-Men: The Last Stand, which will debut nationwide on May 26, but it won't be the last time that Professor Xavier's mutant minions grace the big screen.  In addition to the previously announced Wolverine-based film (see "Jackman to Produce Wolverine Movie"), Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Fox has other spin-off plans including "a Magneto prequel," and a "flick featuring the younger X-Men."

A Magneto prequel scares me, because it could be so good but probably won't be.
