Well it's technically D&D, Paramount is making an animated Dragonlance movie based off the original books.

What, no obnoxious baby unicorn?

Actually, basing off of Dragonlance seems like a good idea. I just wonder who will air this and how good is the animation going to be?

Strange, I just picked up the original books again, last week. I don't think that they will be able to pull this off well in an animated movie. I hope they prove me wrong.

...Are the original books the:

"Dragons of (insert season) (insert time of day)"

books?  I haven't read any of those since Jr. High! Wow... and I still remember Kender.. and Tanis.. and the barbarians and dwarves and draconians and metal colors of dragons are good, and color wheel colors are bad.

...anyway.

I guess it's suppose to be Dragons of Autumn. It has Xena (Lucy Lawless) and Lex Luthor/the Flash (Michael Rosenbaum) for voices. It's also going to be a 2D/3D animation mix.

Not sure if this is going to a be a direct to video release. Kind of seems like it will be.

They also got Michelle Trachtenburg.

That's  lot of known TV-land celebrities. Not a lot of Big Screen talent.
