Now that's some seriously cool stuff. Let's see how many settings I can whip up in the next few weeks?

Sorry, it is $100,000 for the winner, plus the $20,000 for being a semi-finalist.

I should point out that I'm expecting at least one person that I know to make it past the first round. If not I will have mock your time-wasting abilities. Initial proposals need to be sent by June 21st. That's less than two weeks from now.

Because then if it wins, we'd either have to change our forum entirely or pay Wizards a license fee. I am, however, submitting an altered version of one of our early ideas for the forum--similar only in that the world(s) are shrinking. I don't think I'll submit the idea where the entire dimension is an enourmous bar.

Wizards has delayed "phase 2" an extra month, mainly because they received more than 10,000 submissions. I don't know how many they were expecting to receive, but the delay isn't really a surprise (their original plan was to announce phase two after less than two weeks--yeah right). So we can all keep waiting until the first week of August.

Ha.  I knew they'd have to.  What did they expect?

Wizards has delayed the setting contest results even further. They say that they might have the results by the end of this month.

shame it's over - ihave got the best idea ever

the whole world is a misty forest and people have to live in walled cities on the few mountains to protect themselves from the menacing creatures that inhabit the forest. unfortunately the mountains can support very few farms and groups of hunters have to enter th forest led by a ranger (the only people who can navigate the forests) to hunt for food. The ranger is like a dungeon master and the various people are the hunters

That's surprisingly similar to The Ill-Made Mute, actually, although she adds in flying horses and FF-style airships.

Are you saying that you think flying horses are lame, or that you are confused at the concept of a flying horse?
