Does anyone actually play CoC?

The new d20 Call of Cthulu... I heard a ton about it before and just after release, and haven't heard a word about it since. Does anyone actually play it? Enjoy it? Despise it? Why?

I think it does an ok job recreating the hopeless feel, which is partially why I don't play it. But it also fails to provide enough options for developing a character with unique skills. I also don't like d20 combat systems for hard sf or modern non-action settings.

The character creation system is good. It does the job - in CoC it doesn't matter how the character dies...

I would like to play it, but i do not know anyone. So i don't  :-/
If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)
