I'm happy that the snow finally hit from the storm (the storm covering most of the western US) and dropped down a bunch of packing snow. After a week-long craving to build a sweet snow fort, I was able to....at least until my sister ditched me after 30 minutes. ::)

I'm also happy that it's Christmas. Merry Christmas everyone!

Just wait. I'm sure you'll get some more. Then you can build a snow fort too!.....I still need to finish mine. I kind of cheated with it, since I used the A-frame of our swing set, but oh well. It was fun.

It snowed all day here.  Yay for a white Christmas!

Against all odds, Portland, Oregon actually had a white Christmas. Not only was there already snow on the ground on Christmas morning, but it snowed more during the day.

It broke all snowfall records on Christmas day around here. It's pretty amazing.

I got a really cool camera for Christmas, and lots of other great stuff to boot.  Yay!  It's been fun.

I got a bunch of gift cards and some money for Christmas, which is good, since I can now go out and buy stuff that I ACTUALLY want, as opposed to getting more socks and sweaters.  ;)

Speaking of socks, I got two pairs of knee-high socks. And I love them. I'm slowly becoming addicted to knee-high socks, especially in the cold weather. They're beautiful at keeping in the warmth. They make me happy. :)

And I also got a digital camera. It's pretty flippin sweet.

Which did you get?  I got the Canon Powershot A590 (thanks to Ari, who hasn't been on these forums since October...)  I'm really loving it.

It's a Nikon Coolpix L18. I haven't used it a whole lot yet, but my sisters have a similar camera and I know their's are pretty cool, and from what I've seen of mine, I love it.

I got one of those too.  In a nifty red color.  My sister in PA has been bugging me ever since she moved there to get one, so I informed my husband that was what I was getting for Christmas. He's so great.

Heh. Mine's red too. First thing I noticed when I opened the package (other than the wrap)....I like the red.

I'm pretty sure my camera only comes in one color, and I don't mind.

(I finally can take close-up pictures of the spiders I find, though!  Yay!)
