Ooh. I do, I do. That would be a great treat to make for my Halloween movie party.  ;D

It's been a while since anyone's posted something happy, so here.

My mini is home with a brand-new hard drive. It's spiffy! It's taking a while to re-install all the little codecs and other bits and pieces of software that I'd had on there, but just about everything was rescued from the dead HD. So yay!

I'm glad to hear that your mimi is okay. It took a long time for you to get it back.

Let's see good happy things...

My supervisor spontaneously took me and my co-workers to Tucanos for lunch. Even more suprising is she's a health nut/vegetarian.

My living room is finished.

Well....except for the curtain behind the sofa, where the fireplace should go, but it's still a gaping hole. We're having a new one installed in January, and we're waiting because I'm sick of having that room under construction and need it to feel at least mostly normal for Christmas.

HOLY MOLY! How pretty and bright! I LOVE the floors and the texture on the walls is nice.

P.S. Did you get a new digital camera to replace the one that went dead?

Thank you! I really am pleased with how it turned out. The picture makes it seem *really* yellow, but it's more toned down in real life--and yes, i ragged it myself! I can't wait to have a party for you guys to come see it.

Yep. Mark surprised me with an early Christmas present!

Nessa you have a wonderfully looking Living Room.

I'm happy that my contract is finally up with AmeriCorps. I'm glad I was able to stick it out and that I had the experience. Now I'm ready for whatever is next.

My mother has a job.

She got offered a job at the local library working 9 hours a week. My mother hasn't been emplyed outside of the home in 35+ years. Since all of her children left the home many years ago, I'm glad she's finally getting out some. The people at the library seem nice. Hopefully she'll make some friends and become more involved in the community.

Just to keep this thread from disappearing, I'm happy for my old friend, Mike.

I've been offered a job as eligibility specialist for the Utah Dept. of Workforce Services. It's good to be employed again.
