Powers in NE are used like magic in the main book right? I mean you dont burn power points for blasts and all do you? Cause all of those variables could suck.

No, super powers are handled an entirely different way (which is great since it really opened my eyes on how to do things like cybernetics and the like).

Basically you use power points to buy a superpower and any modifiers.  After that, the power is always on.  It may require a roll to activate, but you don't need to spend any power points.

There's very little to keep track of beyond the basic SW stuff in NE.  It's pretty elegant.  Check out my review here for my thoughts on it from long ago.

thats what I'd thought, and Im glad of it, cause using say force blast twice in a combat and then getting whupped seemed silly.

Good, then I did it right.

YEah, if you have "Ranged Attack" you can use it every round up to it's rate of fire, for instance.

When you buy the power you can choose to increase damage, increase ROF, increase AP, do knockback, add elemental tricks, etc.
