Finally, they've released some images! Here we have Hellboy, Danger Girl, someone who I think is Witchblade, and some dude I don't know: http://www.wizkidsgames.com/wk_article.asp?cid=37932&frame=Events

And here we have Judge Dredd flanked by two more people I don't know: http://www.wizkidsgames.com/wk_article.asp?cid=37933&frame=Events

The little press blurb talks about "unique powers," which presumably refers to the new team abilities. Do you think they might have new basic powers as well? I guess we'll find out.

On the first one, I can't remember the guy's name right nwo. i blame the fact that I only ever check TWG when I'm tired.

In the second one, the girl on top is Shi (ooo... I've wanted to say that line for years). While the one on the bottom is Kabuki. For the record, of all the comics represented by those 7 figures, Kabuki is undeniably the best written and most interesting. Ok, that's deniable, but now you have my semi-expert opinion.

They've released the powers and team abilities for Indy, which you can find here:

http://www.wizkidsgames.com/heroclix/indy/hc_article.asp

The powers are the same as always, no surprise there, though it will be nice to have a single card that has the full set of powers. The big surprise is in the team abilities, of which there are only a few (and it seems to have split them up by comic label rather than team, though maybe n Indy that's the same thing. I don't know).

They reprinted the best ones--Stealth, free move, and wild card--and for some reason also reprinted one of the worst ones: Danger Girl gets the old Skrull power. Maybe it will be more useful on her than on the Skrull's but it's still a perplexing decision. The cool new powers are pretty wild, especially 2000 AD and Crusade. I can see the Crusade power of super knockback becoming very popular.

Having received some early christmas money, I went out and bought myself a starter box of Indy Heroclix. Hooray for the new maps and new team abilities and whatnot, but the most important aspect of this set is that I don't know any of the characters in it. So if anyone can help, this is what I've got (or at least these are the ones I'm curious about):

Bron, a cool-lookin' fantasy type dude from CrossGen, dressed all in black with a sword. Based on his powers I assume he's some sort of leader as well as a melee fighter.

The Darkness, a funky-lookin' green dude from Top Cow. He can leap and/or climb, and he's got the blades power even though he doesn't have blades on the model--he does have some kind of silver gauntlets, though, so maybe they grow blades? The same power sometimes represents fangs, but he doesn't seem to have any of those either.

Hecate, a giant topless snake woman. It doesn't say on the model which comic line she's from, but she's a unique, so hooray. Very cool model, with some very cool powers--fast, deadly, hard to kill, and apparently quite clever.

Aphrodite IX, a gun toting chick with green hair and a thong, from Top Cow. The model's pretty freaky, actually.

Tiger Lily, a gang member(?) with a whie painted face from Kabuki. The model has two sub-machine guns, but the veteran version (the one I have) has the blades power and a range of zero. Maybe they're using that to represent the fact that she's wildly innaccurate but devastating at point blank?

If any of you could shed light on some of these, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

To be honest, the only two I've read anything from are CrossGen and Kabuki.

CrossGen is sort of a chick comic. THere's good art, but nothing ever happens. In fact, entire comic books can go by with the only development being that a crew memeber decides to start drawing. CrossGen is all fantasy though. Unfortunately, I don't know who Bron is.

Kabuki, however, while definitely rated 'R,' is something I'll recommend everyone reading. The girls with the painted faces are actually agents of a Japanese government super hush hush secret thing. Basically, they do dirty work for the gov't. Tiger Lilly is one of these.

I did a bit of research, and discovered that Bron is an evil prince who fights against the heroes in Crossgen. I also discovered that Aphrodite IX is a hoochie assassin who doesn't necessarily know she's an assassin, and that The Darkness is a former mafia guy who's now the polar opposite of Witchblade, and kind of an anti-hero. I also discovered that the Kabuki people have a stupid website that's hard to navigate and find any info on--Top Cow's site is excellent, however.
